( Of course you stand in question, why we sell first generation portable DAC if we sell 3 gen. yet? Some answer are exist.
1) The 1 gen. cheaper then 3 gen. in 2 time, and can to provide very decently level of quality of sound. That mean, yes you lost in sound quality but for 10-20% , regard 3 gen., but not 2 time. Of course if you listen by T1 or HD800 or AKG K812 headphones, of course you need 3 gen. determinated. But if you listen by GMP 8.35 D or GMP 435 S or DT 880//990 headphones, and you shure what you will not to ready to spend to headphone more then 300 eu. as 1 gen. is good and affordable solution.
2) The 1 gen. was designed to full size headphones, if you target to listen with in ear headphones, as the 3 gen. you need.
3) If your target to listen from PC or Laptop, this 1 gen. portable, can to deliver ever better sound then other computer sound cards, and fill heared sound by micro details and power.)

This DAC don't custom driver required and supports by Windows, Mac OS-X, Linux, iPad/iOS and Android from 5.0 operated systems by native. The headphone amplifier (HPA) it device is especially strong, relative other portable audio devices. By one hand it allow to performance all kind of music, from wall of sound of metal to nuances classic or vocal. By other hand it take next complicated. We produce a 4V peak-peak output and 6V peak-peak output versions. For 4V we recommend to use a 16-100Ω headphones range , appropriately for 6V version we recommend to use a 50-150Ω headphones. This different voltage output to give to achieve most best signal/noise rating and take to you more comfortable volume adjustment. (Note: A output of regular portable audio is 2.1 Vrms or 3 V peak-peak)
